So you’ve spent countless hours and probably much of your hard earned money into getting a beautiful website done. You carefully picked a color scheme, fonts, a design that feels like you, and when it was all done, you are absolutely in love with your website. Then crickets! Just quiet and really sad. No traffic to your site. No one actually gets to see your work of art, let alone buy the products and services that you offer.
Good news! you can totally change that, start getting floods of traffic to your website, and generate leads and clients from it. Here are the exact 4 steps to make that happen:
step1: Create juicy content your ideal client can’t wait to get their hands on.
Let’s face it, today, we live in an information world today, where before we make any purchase, we do much research, and most of us do much of our research online. The key here will be for you to figure what type of questions your ideal clients are asking themselves that relate to your products or services, what problem you can solve for them, how your content can be of service to them. Now you may be wondering how you can actually really know what your ideal clients want. Here are a couple of ways to:
Ask them: Join Facebook groups, forums where your ideal clients are already hanging out. Of course be of service there, but these can be truly valuable tools for you to gather valuable insight, get to know your ideal clients. Ask questions, take surveys……
Periscope: whether you do your own livestreaming or not, Periscope is a very powerful tool to discover what your ideal clients are looking for. To do so, follow popular streamers that have the same audience as you. While you listen in, the audience usually asks plenty of questions. You will get a lot of inspiration there for content creation, especially as some questions will be coming back many times. That is how you’ll know your that is something your ideal client is struggling with, and you can then write content for that subject….. The absolutely fantastic thing about doing this is that Periscope is real time, and you’ll have your hands on the pulse of what is going on right now.
step2: Create a freebie, a free giveaway gift for your website visitors. This could be as simple as a PDF, or a video, an audio etc…. The key here is to make the giveaway so good that your visitors won’t hesitate to give you their email addresses in exchange. Then install optin boxes, connected to your email service provider ( like Aweber, Mailchimp, ……) , allowing your visitors to submit their information and email addresses. If placing an optin box is a challenge for you, you may want to check out Leadpages leadboxes. It’s by far the easiest way I know of to place optin boxes on your website, and the beauty of it is that you don’t need to know programming or coding to do it, it’s so simple.
Step3: send massive traffic to your site. Yes, you can do this! with the help of social media . Post your article links in Facebook groups, with catchy headlines , use Instagram, Pinterest, and of course you can run Facebook ads. But the best platform I found lately to bring Free traffic to my own website is Twitter. Sure, it may take up a bit more time investment, but will definitely give you incredible results. The key here will be to post regularly, and a lot of valuable content, yours and other’s . The more people come to your site, the more people join you email list, which takes us to…
Step4: Regularly communicate with the people on your list. GIve them value, be of service, and ask them how you can be of help. By staying in touch with your audience, you get to find out what their struggles are, what their dreams are, and how you can best help them with your products, programs and services. You can then package your services or programs in a way that is irresistible to them.
