My whole entire life, well into my late 30s early forties, I lived with anxiety. The funny, not so funny thing is that I thought it was the norm. I thought I was destined to live like that for the rest of my life. I was always worried about how one person or another would react to something would say or do. I was always so concerned with doing the right or wrong thing from other people’s perspective. I was in my head all the time, and of course it affected my body too. Now I look back and realize how crippling a space that was. The good news is that there was a solution. The good news that I found out later was that anxiety is very physiological, and there was a way to release it. In this video, I share how I finally found relief from anxiety in my life and how you can do the same for yourself if that’s something that you are going through in your life right now. Watch below:
I have to admit that growing up I actually didn’t know what anxiety is, but when I look back now, I can realize how I have been anxious. I was anxious for the longest time in my life.
even looking back now, like when I was in elementary school, I can see how I actually had signs of anxiety. I grew up in economic Culture, anxiety wasn’t something that it was talked about at all. In fact, again, I didn’t know what anxiety was at all.
And in fact, I thought everybody felt the same. I’ve thought that me being in my mind all the time worried sick in my mind all the time where those doing the right thing or the wrong thing without saying the right word or not whether one action that I take was the right action or not the right action,
whether I was going to be recommended, whether other school teachers going to yell at me, whether all these things like there was this chatter, all this worries always going on in my mind.
Always worried, always anxious about something. I didn’t know that, you know, it wasn’t like the normal state of being, right?.
Again, I look back now and I can see, especially now that I don’t feel that way anymore. I’m like, Oh my God, no one should live like that. No one should actually live like that.
But sadly, that’s how I lived my whole entire life, right? That’s how I lived my whole entire life are worried about this and that worrying about what I’m saying.
the words that I’m saying worried about any action that are like constantly continuously in this cage of worries, in this cage of anxiety, in this cage of doing the right thing, right or wrong thing all this cage of being so worried that other people are going to judge whether I did the right thing or the wrong thing.
I look at it now and it feels so sad and it feels so unfortunate that so many of us have gone through that.
So many of us are still going through that as we speak. So later on again, I’m sharing my story here today because hopefully it will help you if this is something that you’re going through and at the end of this post, I’m going to share with you exactly what you can do or what I have done that changed everything
because anxiety as I found out later on, anxiety is actually a state of energy in the body. Being caged in the mind is actually a state of energy inside of our body. Why? Because having, being really like being so anxious, having so much energy here, is actually what causes the state of anxiety.
When I was so worried and so up in my mind here, that means I had so much energy up in my mind that I could not help myself, but being my mind all the time, worrying, analyzing, and being so anxious and when that changed, everything changed.
When that changed, I became much calmer. When that change, I actually found more confidence in myself. When that changed, I became much more centered and had much more joy in my life. So how did this start?
I want to share my story with you. I want to share how they started review. the very first time, believe it or not, the very first time that I felt the state of no anxiety was when I was in New Zealand. I was there for a meditation tour. My, my teacher Ilchi Lee was also there at the time and I remember this very, very specifically.
We were there and there was a group of us, there were like probably like maybe 20 or 25 hours at the time and there was this particular person, this particular gentleman who had been in a very, very serious car accident accident or motorcycle accident i don’t remember exactly all the details,
but he had just been in a very serious accident and he came to the meditation to are really just to reconnect with himself and find some sort of healing. And I remember we had been together,
we had been touring New Zealand together, going into forests and doing meditation and stuff like that for about three or four days before we got to have like a, a session with our teacher there. And so we were there and this was the first time that my teacher, our teacher introduced the concept of a belly button healing exercise.
I remember this guy that had been in a serious accident, he was having quite a bit of a hard time moving, right? like his moving wasn’t quite as everybody else because again,
he still had some things here and there and his body torture or something like that, something was quite off. and our teacher was talking about a belly button healing, a new exercise that he was going to introduce us to. And I was like, okay. Yeah. All right.
So this was the first time that my teacher was into the at least that I know of that I was being introduced to the concept of belly button healing, which by the way, is how I healed my anxiety.
I’ll tell you of course, more details on that. Towards the end of this video, this was the first time that I was hearing about belly button healing exercise and this guy that had been, who had been in an accident, happened to have volunteered himself to actually have this done on him.
And my teacher literally just use his thumb and did some stimulation specific stimulation around his belly button. And a few minutes later this guy gets up and he walks as if there was nothing that ever happened.
And I was so surprised. But what are your take there has, I will say, Hey, let me do this exercise and let’s do this. No Dihessa was more like Oh well that’s good for him. he has a different case, so this probably doesn’t apply to me.. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
So later on, I actually experienced a belly button healing for myself. I started really feeling what it does. Why did this so the, the, the science behind this, and this isn’t something new from what I found out later on, there are different, so many different traditional cultures in the world that actually know how secret the belly button is for our being, right?
And so around your belly button. We have all these acupressure points that are connected to all our organs in our body to our parts of our body, shoulders, legs, every single point.
And quite often when there is some sort of ailment of pain in one area of our body, it’s often because there’s some sort of energy blockage between, uh, around that particular area right around that particular area.
And so when you stimulate around the belly button, what it quite often will do is release the blockage, which is why You can easily find pain relief from just doing belly button healing exercise.
And so I digress. I moved forward, but it’s not limited just to that right around our belly button area, right is also our gut, right? And inside of our gut, right in our gut area is where a lot of our happy hormones are created, right?
And so like a lot of people feeling sad and feeling anxious and stuff like that is so related to that condition, right?
Not only just because energy is way up here. By doing this exercise, you actually force energy to come down but also it also creates happy hormones in your body, helps your body, gut area, create happy hormones in your body.
And that is how I came back home and first of all, even studying in New Zealand, I started practicing this. And I remember this.
So specifically one of the days we were there in New Zealand. Again, this was like four years ago or five years ago. I’ve been in New Zealand, uh, twice now. and of course I plan on going back again.
It’s such a beautiful. The meditation towards our is such an amazing experience. anyways so I remember this, I remember us being there and the way that it’s organized is that every morning we get up and then we have breakfast together.
and then there is a bus that takes us to like very secret areas actually in New Zealand areas that very much not touched by, uh, by human. It’s very much like the energy there. Like it’s lots of trees and lots of our nature and lots of, you know, like waterfalls and stuff like that.
that really helps you connect with your true nature, your true nature. Anyways, so, uh, I remember this like evening, when we were going to bed and I said to myself, tomorrow morning I’m going to wake up
and do meditation at the beach. I said, like, this is a goal that I said to myself, I’m going to wake up bright early before breakfast, before everybody wakes up five o’clock in the morning or six o’clock in the morning, I’m going to wake up and go do my meditation on the beach.
Because the hotel was actually on the beach. it just so happens I just slept that night. and by the time I woke up, it was actually time to get to the past.
I actually didn’t get to have breakfast that morning and I was like, as I was running, I don’t even know if I had time to take a quick shower that morning.
I remember as I was running towards, uh, to go to the bus something just like, I felt weird. I remember feeling very, very weird and I’m like, what’s wrong?
Like there’s something missing. I was like, there’s something missing. I can put my finger on it, but there’s something missing. And what it was that was missing is the church Judge mental mind.
I wasn’t judging myself. I wasn’t criticizing myself in the past. I’ll have said to yourself, to myself, why didn’t you wake up? blah blah, you did something wrong. Like in my mind chatter.
I had that goal. Like I usually will have that going on but that day that morning it was gone. It was kind of, I was like, there’s something missing. And the moment that I realized what it was,
I am like, Oh my God, it is gone. Anyways, so throughout that, Oh, I came back home continued the practicing when we have gotten healing exercise.
And as I kept practicing regularly, I started doing this regularly morning, midday and evening. And I started feeling how, noticing how my anxiety was lifting every single day over and over again, uh, up fast forward to now,
I can literally say it is gone sometimes if I do catch myself like condition where I do not do it. Or like I eat certain foods that make me tight in my gut and stuff like that.
I may start like filling an inch of, uh, that coming back and all I have to do is to really just go back and do it again, do the exercise again and find relief and find really, uh, and I have shared this with so many people. It’s not just me that sharing this now. I have had like the very first time i had a friend who was very skeptical about this
and for the longest time she said to me later on, she was on, Prozac for the longest time of her life for probably 20, 30 years of her life,
some version of progress they will change to others, for a long time. And I remember after she started doing this regularly, she said this to me
I’ll never forget this. She said, this exercise has done for me what Prozac never was able to do for me. Right. She found lots of relief from her own depression.
